Rumbatraciens

Rumbatraciens is a french netlabel. Rumbatraciens is also a play on word : rumba (rumba, cha-cha, tango or whatever you could dance on) + batraciens (which, in french, means... guess what... yes, batrachians) ! Finally, it is the name of a track from a Palo Alto LP (not the american rock band, but the 'new music' french band !) Rumbatraciens is a collective of artists : musicians, graphists and writers. The netlabel wishes to be a platform for artists we like. Members of the collective or not. It was founded in the year 2004 and that means, yeah, we're still babies et we're wearing nappies ! You can check out our site for more information. (and front / back cover for each EP / LP.)

Chenard Walcker is the self-proclaimed Pope of samplecore, or, to put it simply, of musical cut-n-paste. Within a few years, he became a legend in the netlabel scene thanks to his prolific and virtuoso collages. He offers here 'Homme-grenouille' (Literally 'Frog-man', French for Scuba-diver), a 8 track EP, whose theme is as close as possible to the name of the label, rumbatraciens (rumbatrachians, do I have to repeat) Enjoy !
